Tokyo Regeneration Project and Urban Gardening
Next Tokyo Urban Permaculture (TUP) workshop will be on urban gardening. Yah mun! Lots of different tactics, but I personally am intrigued by guerrilla approaches. There is a abandoned house nearby with perhaps a 3x1 meter soil strip that probably gets 3-4 hours of sun which is quite fantastic for Tokyo. It's full of random trash so I'm going to clean it up, and start planting food! I figure if I get arrested, it'll make a good public awareness opportunity. I do look extremely suspicious in Tokyo with my afro and second/third hand clothes.
The workshop will include a hands-on cuttings and seed planting bit. I'll also show a slide show of artistic/visually pleasing approaches to gardening the urban dessert. Ideas I want to explore are community gardens, guerrilla gardening and grafting, mini edible forests, balcony gardens, seed bombs, etc. The two important elements I want to explore are inspiration and likelihood for a harvest.
There are two videos by a urban gardening group in Tokyo. They are really well made so check it out.
The goal is not necessarily to make the urban environment more "sustainable" but to engage minds. To liberate minds from the prisons of socio-cultural jail cells that stifle creativity, and to reconnect consumers with the source of life. We need a mass reawakening, all the while having fun and addicting others.

最近は心と繋がる系のワークショップが
続いているけどそろそろ自然と繋がる系もしないと。
そう思って次はアーバン・ガーデニング（都会型食糧生産）。
種植えや挿し木のの実践（もしかしたら接ぎ木も）と
ゲリラ技、ベランダ菜園、都会型食べ物の森とか、
色々な話をする予定。
知識と技術を身につけて、
世界中のアーバン・パーマカルチャーの取り組みを知って、
この春東京中で実践していこう。
技ある人も大歓迎。
これは盛り上がるで〜。
みんなに見せたり、分けられる種／植物を持ってこられたら
是非是非もって来てください。
挿し木も大歓迎。
個人的にはローズマリーとか果樹がほしいな。
【（気）持ち寄りディナー】
せっかくみんなで集まるので持ち寄りディナーにしたいと思ってる。「持ち寄り」はコミュニティー作りにとても役立つ行事。みんなが何かをシェアできる場がうまれる。できれば一品作ったもの（買ってもOK）を持ってきてね。料理には自分の価値観、アイデンティティー、愛などが含まれている。それらが込められたものを他者にプレゼントすることによって、信頼、繋がり、喜びなどが育まれくると毎回感じる。
