後、今年の夏、僕のおすすめスポット
パーマカルチャーツアーを行う予定。
パーマカルチャーの最前線体験ツアー。
９月の初めから二週間。

Yo yo, its time to get my fossil fuel fix!!! Unfortunate, it is from the perspective. Oh the irony....I really respect Transition Town founder Rob Hopkins for his commitment to practice what he preaches (at least as far as I know). Let me thank myself for that short guilt trip. Muchas Gracias.

Thich Naht Hanh (Thay) Korea Tour (May 4~)
Thay will be doing an Asia tour and I was not planning to go because of the cost, but I got a very generous funder so I can go in exchange for translation. Yah mun!!! Thay is perhaps the most amazing person I have ever met. His embodiment of peace and profoundly simple eloquence is truly inspiring. He was also my entry into the world of meditation and Buddha's teachings. Goeka is quite an incredible human too.

Highly recommend seeing Thay speak before he stops as he is quite old. His communities of practice (monasteries) are also highly recommended.

ティクナットハン氏の韓国ツアー（５月４日から）
テク・ナット・ハンのアジアリトリートに行ってきまーす。残念ながらサンガ（実践のコミュニティー）がもうちょっと確りしないと日本来日は難しいみたい。彼の話を消費するのではなく、教えを実践することが重要だと考えているかも知らない。カリスマ性のある人の話を聞きたがる人はいっぱいいるけど、そのメッセージを生きる人はそんなに増えないことがあるよね。

今回は通訳としていけることになったからラッキー！
アジアツアー：タイ、韓国、香港で講演とリトリート。

ティクナットハンは超おすすめ！
僕があったことのある人間で、
一番平和を感じる人かもしれない。

Global Power Shift in Turkey (June 24~)

"We need a massive and sustained show of force that disrupts the status quo and captures the public imagination. This ambitious goal is within reach. With a loose collection of organizations, activists, and networks in nearly every country on earth, the climate movement has the necessary potential to facilitate this sort of global groundswell. Now it’s time for us to realize this potential.

Global Power Shift (GPS) will begin with an international climate leaders summit of mostly young people in Istanbul, Turkey, June 24-30, 2013. The week-long summit will be a chance for us to refine skills, create personal bonds and community, share a global vision for change, and strategize how to organize different actions and similar summits back home. In the months that follow, in country after country we will organize national or regional summits."

This sounds like a really awesome event. I got word of it through students working on the Campus Climate Challenge. And, so grateful that 350.org is supporting students financially!!! Much gratitude to those who support young activists, it makes such a big difference.

For me in Japan powershift means
1. Power shift away from energy sources that damages our life support system (eco-system) and hurts people, particularly political minorities. Specifically, away from fossil fuels, nuclear, and large-scale dams.

2. Power shift away from older-male centered politics. Japan seriously needs a transition to have more youth and women mixed into the political landscape. I started a group called "Datsuojisan" to do youth empowerment, and try to get more women in positions of power.

It's also about powering down and cultivating the graceful descent.

トルコでグローバル・パワー・シフト（６月２４日）

「アメリカの温暖化対策キャンペーンを繰り広げている学生達が始めたパワーシフトと言うイベントが毎年行われています。今年初めてグローバルパワーシフトが企画されていて、世界中のリーダーとなる学生を集めてトレーニングをし、自国でユース主体の温暖化対策活動を盛り上げてもらう事が趣旨です。今の所、Campus Climate Challengeに関わっている学部生数人と僕が参加する予定です。これも３６０.orgというユース主体の団体が全額負担してくださっています。海外の方がユース活動家へのサポートが充実しているのはなぜだろう？

世界中のユースと繋がるとともに、チェンジエージェントとして大きく成長する素敵なチャンスです。温暖化はシャレになりません。毎世代その代償は重くなっていきます。

パワーシフトの意味は二つあると思います

１。次世代や社会的弱者に負担をかけるエネルギー（化石燃料、原発、大規模ダム）から人間と環境に優しいエネルギー（色んな考え方があります）へのシフト

２。受け身の立場である若者（消費者）から、これからの時代を創作するユース・チェンジエージェント（生産者）へのシフト

グローバルパワーシフトの後、日本でジャパンパワーシフトを企画中です。ユースの原動力と想像力で政治社会の方向を変えていこうと思います。仲間募集中！

"HISTORY OF POWER SHIFT
National Power Shifts and similar summits by different names are already scaling up the climate movement in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, across Europe, Africa, India, Japan, and South Asia. The first ever Power Shift, organized by the Energy Action Coalition, was held in the United States in 2007. It brought together nearly 6,000 young people from around the country for trainings and included a lobby day on capitol hill. The second US summit was held in 2009, and by 2011 over 10,000 activists came together for the third. For more information or to get involved, visit wearepowershift.org. Meanwhile the idea began to spark internationally in 2009 as theAustralian Youth Climate Coalition led their own Power Shift and were soon followed by the Badlaav conference in India led by the Indian Youth Climate Network, UK Power Shift led by the United Kingdom Youth Climate Coalition, and Canada Power Shift led by theCanadian Youth Climate Coalition. Burning Man (Aug 26~)
I will be having my first Burning Man experience this year. I have mixed feelings but I'm excited for this opportunity. I've been encouraged every year by friends, and my mom said she was going so I went for it. Let's see what happens to me.

I just remembered about a professor who got me into Thich Nhat Hanh, Barbara Rogoff (a well-know cultural psychologist), had a son that did his thesis on temporary structures at Burning Man. Coincidence?!! Hmmm....the gift economy and creative culture seems to be quite relevant to my research, which currently is about Transition Town Fujino too. Staking functions as they say in permaculture.

バーニングマン（８月２６日〜）

今年初めてのバーニングマン体験をしにいきまーす。
ずっと勧められてきて、母親が行くとか言い出したから
あ、じゃー僕もそろそろいこうかなって思ったら
低所得者用のチケットが当たった。
ラッキ〜。
バーニングマンは色んな意味ですごいけど、
ギフトエコノミーとかクリエイティブカルチャーが
自分の活動と研究ともつながっていて
すっごく楽しみにしている。

Pacific North West Permaculture Tour (Sept. 4th~)

I'm also planning a PNW Permaculture tour, hitting up all the amazing permaculture sites that have had a transformative impact on me + more! The plan is to take 10 Japanese, including hopefully a magazine editor and graphic designer, to visit the Bullocks Permaculture Homestead, City Repair Portlandia, and a few urban permaculture sites in Seattle. We'll also visit a few cool farms on Orcas Island and Lopez Island. A visit to an urban farm in Victoria is also in the mix. Pretty jam packed!!! The plan is to get some people from Japan to experience these wonders, and for the editor and designer to spread the ideas and movement. This also will cover my trip over. Yah mun.

海のパーマカルチャーツアー（９月４日から予定）

僕が今までであって来た最高のパーマカルチャーコミュニティーを体験してもらう特別ツアーを企画中。できれば、発信力（メディア系ブログ系デザインナーとか）のある人も誘いたい。何回もできる企画じゃないから、情報を広めてくれる人が重要。

ツアーはブロックス・パーマカルチャー・ホームステッドとポートランドのシティリペアが大目玉で、その他にもロペズ島の素敵な有機農場やヴィクトリアのアーバンガーデンなども盛り込む予定。シアトルのアーバンパーマカルチャーも！！！いや〜凄いツアーになりそう。
